You can remove a set at any time. Its sorting progress is lost, and if it was in a tub, that tub goes to the next set in line.
How to remove a set
- Open My sets and tap the set.
- Tap Remove.
- Read the message, then tap Remove again. To back out, tap Cancel.
On a phone you can also slide the set’s row to the left in My sets and tap Remove. Sliding the row does not remove anything by itself. The app always asks first.
What to do with the pieces in its tub
If the set was in a tub, the message says that anything in that tub goes back into the pile. Tip it back in. Other sets may need those pieces.
If another set is waiting, the app then asks you to empty the tub and confirm, for example with Tub A is empty — keep sorting. After that, the letter belongs to the new set. See When a tub is finished and a new set takes its letter.
If nothing is waiting, the tub stays free until you add a set.
What happens to its progress
It is deleted with the set, and it cannot be brought back with Undo. If you add the same set again later, it starts from nothing.
Pieces and your limit
If you are sorting within a limit on pieces, the pieces in a removed set come off your count on the same terms as any piece taken out. They come off in full if they went in within the last 10 minutes. Otherwise they come out of a limited allowance. See How pieces are counted.
Removing a finished set
You remove it the same way. A finished set has already left its tub, so only its progress goes.
If all you want is to sort the set a second time, do not remove it. Open it and tap Sort it again, so the pieces you sorted before are not counted twice. See Finished sets and sorting a set again.
