If you cannot find a piece, tap Skip for now. The piece is not lost. It goes to the back of the queue and comes back at the end, when the pile is small and it is easier to find.
How to skip
- On the sort screen, tap Skip for now.
- The next piece appears. Carry on.
You can skip as many pieces as you like. If you had already placed some of a piece before skipping it, those stay counted. Only the ones still to find are set aside.
Where skipped pieces go
They stay in the queue, at the end. To see them:
- On the sort screen, tap See all to open Still to find.
- Scroll to Skipped — back at the end.
To go back to one early, tap it in that list. You do not have to wait for the end.
When they come back
When every other piece has been placed, the app gathers the skipped pieces on one screen, headed Still looking for these. This is the cleanup pass. Each piece has a counter for every tub that needs it, so you can tick them off as they turn up.
If a piece really is gone, you can mark it as missing there. See The cleanup pass and marking pieces missing.
Things worth knowing
- Undo does not bring back a skip. It only takes back pieces you placed. To return to a skipped piece, tap it in the list.
- Both scanners still look for skipped pieces, so a scan can find one for you.
- If you finish for the day with Done for today · see your summary, the list of skipped pieces is cleared. Next time, those pieces are back in the normal order. Everything you placed stays placed.
- If you just close the app, the skipped list is kept.
For the list of everything still to find, see Up next and grabbing a few at once. For ending a sitting, see Stopping and carrying on later.
