Finished sets and sorting a set again

A set is finished when every piece it needs is in its tub or has been marked as missing. It moves to Ready to build in My sets. If you later take the model apart, Sort it again starts that set from the beginning.

When a set is finished

  • A celebration shows the set’s picture and name.
  • If another set is waiting, you are asked to bag the finished set and empty its tub.
  • Home shows the set as ready to build. Tap it to open the set.
  • In My sets, it is listed under Ready to build. If pieces were marked as missing, the row says how many.

The set is then ready to build from its instruction booklet. The app does not show building instructions or link to them.

Sorting a set again

Use this when a finished model has been taken apart and its pieces are back in the pile.

  1. Open My sets and tap the finished set.
  2. Tap Sort it again.
  3. Read the message, then tap Sort it again to confirm. To back out, tap Cancel.

What this does:

  • The set’s progress is cleared, and so are its missing marks.
  • The set goes back in line for a tub. During a sort, it gets a tub straight away if one is free. If that tub has been used before, you are asked to make sure it is empty.
  • Every other set stays as it is.

Sorting again and your pieces

If you are sorting within a limit on pieces, the pieces you sorted in that set before do not count a second time. A piece that was marked as missing the first time does count when you sort it, because it is being sorted for the first time.

This applies only to Sort it again. If you remove the set and add it again, or add a second copy, the app treats it as a new set and its pieces count.

The whole-tray scanner still needs you to have pieces left, even for a set you are sorting again. See How pieces are counted.
