BrickSorter on a tablet: one red brick to find, the two tubs that need it, and the pieces coming up next.
BrickSorter on a phone: 13 pieces left, a red brick to find, and tubs A and B that need it.
The camera pointed at one blue plate, and the answer: put 2 in tub A and 1 in tub B.

How it works

Three steps, then you are sorting

  1. 1

    Add your sets

Type the number from each instruction booklet. Add as many as are hiding in the bin.

  2. 2

    Each set gets a tub

Your sets become tubs A, B, C. Forget the names for now and match the letter.

  3. 3

    Find it, drop it in

It shows one piece and the tubs that need it. Tap the tub when the piece is in.

Progress you can see

Watch the pile shrink

Every piece you place moves the bar. No need to finish in one go.

  • Stop any time. Your place is kept.
  • Create an account and your sets follow you to another device.
  • When a tub is complete, the letter turns back into the set.

The camera

Mystery piece? Point the camera

Two scanners for the pieces you cannot place. Hold one brick up and it tells you the tub, or photograph a whole tray and every piece gets its letter.

  • Not sure about a piece on the tray? It shows you its best guesses. Pick one.
  • Sorting by hand works just the same without the camera.

The good bit

Every piece found. Time to build!

Finish a tub and the letter turns back into the set, ready for the instructions and an afternoon at the table.

  • A tick on the set, and it moves to your finished sets.
  • When sets share a piece, they finish together.

What else it does

  • Build ideas

See which other sets you already own most of the pieces for.

  • Pictures, not part numbers

Every piece is shown as a picture, so there is nothing to look up.

  • Try it first

No account needed. Create one later to keep your sets safe.

How many sets can I sort at once?

As many as you have tubs for, up to 26. Each set in play gets a lettered tub. The rest wait in line and move up as tubs are finished.

Which phones and tablets does it work on?

iPhone and iPad, and Android phones and tablets.

Do I need an account?

No. You can try it without one. An account keeps your sets and progress safe and lets you carry on from another device.

What does it cost?

Sorting your first 300 pieces is free. After that, one payment adds 10,000 more pieces, and nothing renews. If you sort a lot, there is a monthly Pro plan with no limit. See pricing

Which sets does it know?

Most sets with a number on the box. A few very new ones may not have their pieces listed yet.

Is my collection private?

Yes. Your sets and progress are private to your account.
