Sorting
How the tubs, letters and queue work
-
How the sort screen works
The sort screen shows one piece to find, how many, and a row for each tub that needs it. Tap a row each time you drop a piece in that tub.
-
How the lettered tubs work
Every set you are sorting gets a tub with a letter. The app tells you which letter each piece goes in, so you match letters and not set names.
-
Up next and grabbing a few at once
Up next shows the next few pieces in the queue. Grab a few shows pieces that look like the current one, so you can hunt for them together.
-
Skipping a piece and coming back
If you cannot find a piece, tap Skip for now. It is not lost. It goes to the back of the queue and returns at the end, when the pile is small.
-
Undoing a mistake
Tap Undo at the top of the sort screen to take back your last tap, or tap the minus on a tub's row to take one piece out of that tub.
-
Stopping and carrying on later
You can stop sorting at any time. The app saves your place as you go, the tubs keep their letters, and next time it picks up where you stopped.
-
When a tub is finished and a new set takes its letter
When a set is finished the app celebrates, then asks you to empty that tub before the next set in line takes over its letter. Here is what to do.
-
More sets than tubs
You can add as many sets as you like. The app sorts as many at once as you have tubs, up to 26, and the rest wait in line for a free tub.
-
Shared pieces, spare pieces and leftovers
A piece that several sets need is shown once, with a row for each tub. Spare pieces are never asked for, so expect some pieces to be left over.
-
The cleanup pass and marking pieces missing
At the end of a sort the app shows every piece you skipped on one screen. If a piece cannot be found, mark it as missing so the set can be finished.
-
Changing how many tubs you have
Change the number of tubs in Settings under Labelled tubs, or tap Add a tub in My sets. The change applies at once, even in the middle of a sort.
-
Removing a set while you are sorting
You can remove a set at any time. Its sorting progress is lost, and if it was in a tub, that tub and its letter go to the next set in line.
