Every set you are sorting gets a tub with a letter. The app tells you which letter each piece goes in, so you match letters and never have to think about set names.
One set, one letter
When you start, the app gives each set a letter in the order you added them: A, B, C and so on. You label a real container for each letter. From then on, all you need to know is “two of these go in C”.
The app sometimes says “bucket” where this help centre says “tub”, for example Your buckets on Home. They mean the same thing.
Reading the letters on screen
- On the sort screen, each row starts with a tub’s letter and a picture of its set.
- If a piece is needed by more than one set, there is a row for each tub.
- When a tub has all it needs of the piece on screen, its letter turns into a green tick.
- In lists such as My sets, a set’s letter is at the end of its row.
- A scan puts a tub’s letter on each piece it recognises.
How many letters are in use
You tell the app how many tubs you have. It sorts that many sets at once, up to 26, one for each letter from A to Z. Sets without a tub wait their turn. See More sets than tubs.
A letter is used again
When a set is finished, its tub is emptied and the same letter goes to the next set in line. The app stops and tells you before this happens, so pieces for a new set are never tipped on top of a finished one. Keep the label on the tub. See When a tub is finished and a new set takes its letter.
New tubs get new letters
If you add a tub, it gets the next letter that has not been used. A tub that is standing empty is always used again before a new letter is handed out.
Setting up your tubs
For the labels themselves, and how many tubs to use, see Labelling your tubs and how many to use. You can change the number at any time in Settings.
