The sort screen shows one piece to find, how many, and a row for each tub that needs it. Tap a row each time you drop a piece in. When every row is full, the next piece appears.
What is on the screen
From top to bottom:
- A number followed by “left”. This is how many pieces the sets in your tubs still need.
- Undo, which takes back your last tap.
- A bar that fills as the pile is sorted.
- A picture of the piece to find. A piece is shown as its picture only, with no name or part number.
- FIND and a number. This is how many of that piece to find in all.
- A row for each tub that needs the piece. A row has the tub’s letter, a picture of its set, and a counter such as 0 / 2.
- Use the camera and Skip for now.
- Up next, a strip showing the next few pieces.
Placing a piece
- Find the piece in your pile.
- Drop it in the tub shown.
- Tap anywhere on that tub’s row, or tap +. The counter goes up by one.
- If you tap once too often, tap − on the same row.
When a row is full, its letter turns into a green tick. When every row is full, the screen moves on by itself.
Looking at other pieces
Tap the arrows on either side of the picture, or swipe the picture left or right, to move through the queue. To return to the app’s own order, tap Back to the plan. See Up next and grabbing a few at once.
Getting to the sort screen
Tap Sort, the yellow tab in the middle of the bar at the bottom. If no sort is in progress, it starts one. To leave, tap any other tab. Your place is saved.
The screen stays on
While the sort screen is open, the phone does not go to sleep, so you do not need to keep touching it.
On a tablet
On a larger tablet the piece and its tubs are on the left, and Up next is a panel on the right that is always open. A smaller tablet keeps the phone’s layout. The tablet layouts are drawn for a tablet held upright.
