When every other piece has been placed, the app shows all the pieces you skipped on one screen. This is the cleanup pass. If a piece cannot be found, you can mark it as missing so the set can still be finished.
What the cleanup pass looks like
The screen is headed Still looking for these. There is a card for each skipped piece, with:
- the piece’s picture and how many are still needed;
- a row for each tub that needs it, showing the tub’s letter, its set’s picture and a counter.
Tap + as you find each piece. Undo works here too. When a piece has all it needs, its card goes.
While this is going on, the card on Home says how many are left and its button reads Finish the cleanup.
Marking pieces as missing
- First, count in any pieces you have found.
- At the bottom of the list, tap Mark as missing.
- Read the message, then tap Mark as missing again. To go back, tap Keep looking.
This marks every piece still on the cleanup list, not just one. That is why step 1 matters.
What marking as missing does
- The pieces are noted on each set. Nothing is deleted.
- Each set then counts as finished, with its missing pieces noted. In My sets, the set’s row says how many are noted missing. On the set’s own page, each of those pieces is labelled as missing.
- The sort ends and you see your summary.
- A missing piece is not counted as a piece sorted.
If a missing piece turns up later
Put it with its set. The note on the set stays as it is. It is cleared if you ever sort that set from the beginning with Sort it again. See Finished sets and sorting a set again.
