Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app: open Settings and tap Delete account at the bottom. This removes your account and everything saved to it, for good. If you no longer have the app, email support@bricksorter.app and we will do it for you.

Delete it in the app

  1. Tap Settings and scroll to the bottom.
  2. Under Sign out, tap Delete account.
  3. Read the list of what will be deleted.
  4. Tap Delete my account.
  5. The app asks you to confirm. Tap Delete account. To back out, tap Keep my account.

Nothing happens on a single tap, and it cannot be undone afterwards. When it is done, the sign-in screen tells you the account has been deleted.

If you sign in with Apple, Apple asks you to sign in once more first, so that BrickSorter can be taken off the list of apps in your Apple account. If that step does not go through, your account is still deleted, and you can remove BrickSorter from that list yourself in your Apple account settings.

If you no longer have the app

Email support@bricksorter.app and ask us to delete your account. Write from the email address on the account if you can, so we can find it. The same things are deleted.

What is deleted

  • Your sets and all your sorting progress.
  • Your settings and sorting history.
  • Any pieces you have bought and have not used.
  • Our records of your purchases and your scans, and any tray photo not yet cleared away.
  • Any pictures you sent to help teach the scanner.
  • Your sign-in.

What is not deleted

  • Apple’s or Google’s own record of what you bought from them. We cannot delete that.
  • A note that each purchase of pieces has been used: its reference numbers, the product and the dates. Nothing in it says whose it was. It stops one purchase being claimed twice.
  • Crash reports and server logs already made. They carry your user ID and expire by themselves: crash reports after 90 days, logs normally after 30.
  • A copy on the phone. The app keeps a copy of what it last showed. Deleting your account does not wipe it. Deleting the app does.
  • Working copies of pictures you sent to help teach the scanner. Ask us and we will delete those too.

The privacy policy has the full list.

It does not cancel a subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel Pro. Cancel it first in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions, or it carries on renewing. If Pro is running, the delete page says so and has a Manage subscription button. See Pro and how to cancel.

If it does not work

If there is no connection, or our servers cannot be reached, the app says so and nothing is removed. Try again in a minute.

Guest mode

A guest has no account, so guests are not shown Delete account. See What BrickSorter keeps about you and why.
