You can use BrickSorter without an account by starting as a guest. Your sets are then tied to that one device, and signing out or deleting the app loses them. Create an account from inside the app at any time to keep them.
Starting as a guest
On the first screen, tap Just looking? Try it without an account. You are not asked for an email address or a name.
What works in guest mode
Adding sets, sorting, skipping, undoing, the one-brick camera, My sets, My collection and Build ideas all work. The pieces you can sort for free are the same as with an account.
What needs an account
- The whole-tray scanner.
- Buying more pieces or Pro. What you buy is kept with your account, not on the phone.
- Carrying on from another phone or tablet.
Turning guest mode into an account
- Tap Settings. A box says You’re sorting as a guest.
- Tap Create an account.
- Type an email address and a password, then tap Create account. Or tap Continue with Google, or Continue with Apple on an iPhone or iPad.
- The app confirms with Your sets are safe. Tap Keep sorting.
Nothing is moved or copied. Your sets stay under the same ID as before, which now has a sign-in, so every set and all your progress stay as they were.
The app offers the same thing once on Home, after you finish your first set, on a card headed Keep your sets safe.
If the email already has an account
The app says so and offers Sign in instead. Signing in to that other account means leaving guest mode, and the guest sets are lost. The two cannot be joined.
To keep your guest sets, use an email address, Google account or Apple account that does not already have a BrickSorter account.
Signing out as a guest
The app warns you that signing out permanently loses your sets and progress, and offers Create an account first.
