If the app says it could not find a set, check the number first, then your connection, then try browsing by name. If a set is there but its pieces look wrong, tell us the set number so we can look at it.
The app says it could not find the set
- Check the number against the instruction booklet. It is on the front cover.
- Type the digits of the set number only.
- Check your internet connection. The same message appears when the app could not reach our servers.
- Tap Look it up again.
Find it by name instead
- Tap No number? Browse sets.
- Type one or two words from the set’s name and search. Short searches work best, because set names are short.
- Tap a theme to narrow the list, or tap Most pieces or Newest to change the order.
- Tap Load more if the set is not in the first results.
Very small sets, with fewer than 10 pieces, are not listed when you browse. They can still be added by number.
Which sets the app knows
The app uses a large catalogue of LEGO® sets and their parts lists. If a set is in the catalogue, you can add it. If it is not there yet, it cannot be added for now. Now and then a set is in the catalogue without a parts list.
A set looks wrong
Signs of a problem are a set with no pieces, far fewer pieces than you expect, or pieces with no picture. A piece with no picture shows a plain brick icon in its place.
Before you report it, bear two things in mind:
- Spare pieces are left out on purpose. The app asks only for the pieces a set needs.
- Pieces are matched by shape and colour together. The same shape in two colours is listed as two pieces.
If it still looks wrong, send us the set number through the contact form and say what you expected to see. In the meantime, you can remove that set and carry on sorting the others.
