Your first sort

The first time you open BrickSorter, it takes you through six short steps and then puts the first piece in front of you. Here is what to expect at each one.

Before the first piece

  1. On the first screen, tap Just looking? Try it without an account, or sign in.
  2. Add your sets. Type each set number and tap Add. When they are all in, tap the button that starts Continue with.
  3. The app shows each set with the letter it has been given. Tap Got it.
  4. Label your tubs, set how many you have, and tap They’re labelled — next.
  5. Choose a goal. Just tidy up is already selected and suits most piles. Tap Lock it in.
  6. Tip the pile out somewhere bright and tap Start sorting.

The last screen also says how many pieces you can sort for free. See What is free and what is paid.

Placing the first piece

  1. Look at the picture and the number under FIND. That is how many of the piece to find.
  2. Find them in your pile.
  3. Drop them in the tubs shown. Tap a tub’s row once for each piece that goes in it.
  4. When every row is full, the next piece appears by itself.

If you cannot find a piece, tap Skip for now. It comes back at the end. If you tap by mistake, tap Undo.

For a full tour of the screen, see How the sort screen works.

When a set is finished

The app shows the set’s picture and name. If another set is waiting, it asks you to empty that tub so the next set can use it.

When you want to stop

Just stop. The app saves your place as you go. Next time, open it and tap Keep sorting on Home.

If you started as a guest

Your sets are tied to that one device until you create an account. See Guest mode and keeping your sets safe.
