Build ideas compares the pieces in the sets you own with other sets, and lists the ones you already have most of the pieces for. It is a list of ideas. It does not show building instructions.
How to use it
- Open My sets.
- At the bottom, tap Build ideas.
- Tap Check my pieces.
- Wait while the app compares your pieces. It can take a minute.
Reading the results
Each result shows a set’s picture and name, how many of its pieces you have, and a percentage. The closest matches come first. A line above the list says how many sets your pieces were compared with.
Tap Check again to run it again, for example after adding more sets.
How it decides
- It counts every piece in every set on your list, spare pieces included, whether or not you have sorted them yet. Pieces you marked as missing are left out.
- It compares them with sets released from 2015 onwards that have at least 50 pieces. Sets you already own are left out.
- A piece only matches the same piece in the same colour. Owning one of a piece does not cover a set that needs six.
- A set is listed if you have at least 60% of its pieces. Up to 100 sets are listed.
What the messages mean
- If the app says there are no strong matches yet, nothing reached 60%. Adding more sets gives it more to work with.
- If it says some of your sets are not in the parts catalogue yet, the pieces of those sets could not be counted.
- If it says it ran out of time, the check stopped early and the list shows what turned up so far. Tap Check again.
Limits worth knowing
- Having 60% of a set’s pieces is not the same as being able to build it. Treat the list as a starting point.
- It needs an internet connection.
- The results are not saved. Run the check again when you want a fresh list.
- The list is for reading. You cannot add a set to your own sets from it. To add one, use Adding your sets.
